Online consultation services involve the provision of information, advice, testing and treatment for a range of medical conditions. To ensure quality care, our clinicians will also follow up with some patients. Services are provided by qualified independent prescribing pharmacists (collectively ‘clinicians’) who are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council in the UK.

We will use the information you provide with other information we obtain about you to administer and provide the goods and/or services you request. We will not share your personal information with any organisation other than those directly involved in delivering these services, namely the dispensing pharmacy and Royal Mail where you have selected a delivery option.

Video Consultations

Our Video consultations are the simplest and easiest way to speak to a pharmacist about any medical problems you may be experiencing.

Our experienced clinicians can help with expert advice and treatment at a time and place that’s convenient for you.

Upon booking a time slot for your chosen consultation you will receive an email confirmation of your appointment and guided to register an account within the ‘Patient Portal’ section of our website. Here you will enter some personal medical details which will help the clinician identify you when making the video call with you.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access at any time if we believe that your continued use of our services will prejudice others or us. By registering to use the We Prescribe consultation Services, you:

a. confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete; and
b. agree to keep your username and password confidential and to take reasonable steps to protect and not to share the login details for your online patient record with anyone; and
c. confirm that you are aged 18 or over.
After requesting a video consultation you will also be asked to pay for your chosen service. Payment is always made prior to receiving our services. If for any instance you need to cancel your video consultation it is free of charge up until 4 hours before your call. If you cancel with less than 4 hours’ notice full payment will be taken and you will be ineligible for a refund.

Prior to your video consultation if you plan to access the consultation through your mobile device please ensure you have downloaded the teleport.video application from your phones application store.

During the video consultation, our clinicians will assess you based upon the symptoms or queries you present with. There are a number of conditions that our clinicians will not be able to treat due to the need for further testing prior to diagnosis or for further monitoring once treatment has begun. Examples of these conditions include but are not limited to the following:

– High Blood pressure
– Diabetes
– Heart Failure
– Depression or any mental health conditions

It is important to understand this prior to booking; once the consultation has begun you will not be eligible for a refund if presenting with any issue outside of our scope. If you are unsure whether we will be able to treat a specific issue then contact us via email or telephone prior to booking for confirmation. It is also important to understand that our clinicians are not required to prescribe an item and will only do so if they deem it necessary and if it is within their clinical competence.

There are certain medicines that will not be issued by Clinicians in any circumstances, which include: controlled medication, such as strong painkillers, anxiolytics, sedatives and hypnotics and medication that requires specialist prescribing and monitoring; and medication that needs to be administered by injection (other than those listed on our website)

For select services, it is mandatory that we notify your GP of your treatment with us. However, we will always offer to notify your GP of any medicines that we have prescribed, but if you decline to take up our offer to contact your GP, it is your responsibility to notify your GP. If you decide not to notify your GP, it is important that you keep a record of any medicines that we have prescribed, although this information will be stored in your patient portal area.

During the questionnaire process before we prescribe any treatment, we need to verify your identity and that our patients are genuine – this is a legal requirement for some of our services and is performed once only, where applicable. Verification will take place at your first applicable order after implementation whether you are a new or existing patient.

Our clinicians We will only prescribe medicines when in their professional judgement it is in the patient’s best interests to receive the medicine being requested and, accordingly, to refuse to prescribe medicines when they believe it is not in the patient’s best interests to receive medicines without the benefit of a face to face consultation.
