Duac Gel is contraindicated for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant or are breastfeeding, consult WePrescribe for alternative acne treatments.
Ensure that Duac Gel does not come into contact with sensitive areas such as the eyes, mouth, lips, and nostrils. The gel can irritate if applied to these areas or to skin that is already broken, sunburned, or affected by eczema.
Benzoyl peroxide increases the skin's sensitivity to sunlight, which can lead to sunburn more easily. To prevent this, minimise your time in the sun, avoid using sunbeds, and apply a high-SPF sunscreen to the treated area. Protective clothing and hats are also recommended.
Do not use Duac Gel alongside other acne treatments that contain erythromycin, tretinoin, isotretinoin, or tazarotene. These interactions can reduce the effectiveness of Duac Gel or lead to increased irritation.
Duac Gel can bleach or stain clothing, bed linens, towels, and hair. Be cautious to avoid contact with these items to prevent discolouration.
