About Mefenamic acid tablets

Mefenamic acid is medication licensed for use in both painful periods (dysmenorrhoea) and heavy periods (menorrhagia). It belongs to the class of medications known as NSAID’s which also includes naproxen and ibuprofen.

Directions:

Take ONE tablet three times a day. Start taking on first day of painful/heavy period and continue throughout your period where required. Do NOT use after your period.

Talk to a healthcare professional before taking mefenamic acid if you have had or suffer with any of the following conditions:

– an allergic reaction to medicines in the past
– high blood pressure
– Any heart problems
– stomach ulcers, bleeding in the stomach or intestines, or a hole in your stomach
