Minoxidil often sold under the brand name 'Regaine' is a popular treatment used for male pattern baldness. Minoxidil works by enhancing the blood supply to hair follicles. This increase in blood supply helps to slow and reverse male pattern baldness. This in time leads to thicker and and fuller hair growth and the filling in of any patches that may have been present. This treatment alone is thought to be effective in 2/3 men but when combined with finasteride tablets effectiveness increases to over 90%, making it a popular combination in hair loss!
What is Minoxidil Solution used for?
Minoxidil solution is used to treat hereditary hair loss in men and women. It promotes hair growth and helps prevent further hair loss, particularly for those experiencing male or female pattern baldness.
